2020 Kinder Basketball Registration

Resident Registration Opens: 1/13/2020
Public Registration Opens: 1/20/2020

2020 Kinder Basketball Registration is now open for Blowing Rock residents. Public registration will begin on 1/20/2020.

Sessions will be Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00-6:00PM beginning on February 18th, 2020. Program will be held at the Blowing Rock School's Gym.

Children must be 3 years old on or before 2/18/2020 and no older than 5 on this date.

(Child will be placed on waiting list if no space available)

The mission of Blowing Rock Parks and Recreation is “to provide and enhance recreational and cultural opportunities for our residents and visitors.” 

Staffing and Schedules

The Recreation Department has six full-time positions: the Parks and Recreation Director,  Facilities Coordinator, Programs Coordinator, Parks Maintenance Technician, Landscape Specialist and a Landscape Assistant. In addition to the permanent positions, there are a substantial number of seasonal positions.


This department is also responsible for the landscaping in Broyhill Park, Annie Cannon Gardens, Memorial Park, and other Town-maintained planting areas.




A primary goal of this department is to develop, beautify, conserve, and maintain a system of parks which will assure quality leisure opportunities for all that reside and visit Blowing Rock.
